A pair of 10-year-old gamers probably got more action than they bargained for when they stumbled into an armed robbery at their local GameStop. As reported by CBS-11, police in Arlington, Texas have arrested one man, William Stevenson, in the robbery. Another remains at large.
Surveillance video shows how the crime went down, including the confrontation between the robbers and the unwitting young customers.

Sylvia also limited the number of writers-in-residence, or tumbleweeds as they’re called, to three or four at a time.

Of the major space-faring countries, China has said most explicitly that U.S. pursuit of SPACECOM's vision would be intolerably threatening and would require a countervailing response.
Because they're gamers! Gamers need to put down the controller, step off the platform, and get a life!
... or as Jack would put it. :)
Damned idiots.... why go out of their way for freaking gaming stuff? This coming FROM a gamer.
Now Jack, before you post here, read through the comments already posted. If you would take at least two minutes out of free time that i'm sure you have, you would see that the people who are posting here are just as disgusted at the actions of these individuals as you are.
Stop. Look. And think about it.
.... how Had I not heard about this?
They are to gun owners, what rockstar is to the game industry
How is the illegal use of a weapon to commit a crime the same as one of dozens of game development companies providing entertainment software to those who have an interest in it?
After all, Rockstar isn't operating illegally, unlike the theives you refer to.
And if you don't like what Rockstar provides, how did they illegally force you to purchase and/or play their software?
I just don't see the comparison there.

Actually, most flash games are freebies.
Since the industry is commercial, the only one I can think of as commercial, even though it's Independant, is "Ethnic Cleansing". At least, if I remember right, that one was shareware. So, technically, it is commercial and could feasibly be considered industry material.
Still, the problem becomes misuse of the technology.
Hmmm...
Ok, Hot Coffee wasn't meant to be played. It took special 3rd party software to unlock it, so I can't use it here.
But, armed robbers are to legal gun owners what (company that passes off a game as E rated but embeds a gameplay unlockable hardcore sex scene (as opposed to requiring 3rd party unlockers)) is to the legal industry.
I have a vague memory of there having been one, but I can't remember for certain. Not sure if it were an Easter Egg or not.

My thoughts exactly. They probably thought they could get away with robbing a speciality store and make a decent profit off selling the merchandise. It'd practically be suicide to rob a store like Wal-Mart and you probably wouldn't get much.
@ kurisu7885
Yep. Well that's half of it. I also figure they took a 360 or two. I remember in one of the original PS3 robberies the thieves robbed a GameStop and took both PS3s and 360s.
They probably stole both consoles, and maybe a few games. Especially games that aren't officially released yet. Other than a Wii, I doubt there would of been anything else of extreme value to steal.
I agree it was a bad analogy, however it wasn't a comment on the illegality. It was a comment on the image hit.
A better one would have been
Armed robbers are to gun owners, as [Insert highly offensive stupid pointless racist offensive, designed only to anger and offend flash game here] is to the games industry.
A gamestop got robbed. If it had been a gas station, a wal-mart, or a McDonalds no one would be caring about JT. Heck, the only reason this made news was because of the pair of young boys that got caught up in it all.
I'm all for making fun of Jacky-boy when he does something idiotic (Or has the potential to), but let's call a spade a spade here.
PS3 machines most likely is what I'm guessing you mean.
Some people have tried to rob big stores, but usually that is for cash, not merchandise.
And, yeah, it's more likely to be to sell rather than keep. I suspect those that steal to keep usually rob homes, though they do sell that stuff too.

How dare games and game playing devices be of any value worth stealing, its all their fault!
Something the dumb gamer community (NOT!) doesn't realise! Mark my words, tomorrow we'll find out the criminals played GTA!
(how was that for satire Jacky boy?)
At least no one was seriously harmed.

It seems they stole expensive gaming equipment. No word on what it was, but I'm sure we can all guess. I highly doubt they intended to play them. They most likely intended to sell the equipment.
I'm surprised that someone would do this, then again I'm surprised at crime in general being a (mostly) law-abiding citizen.
Seriously, glad these idiots were busted.
With crime on the rise many people and business are looking for added security. Video surveillance is one the top ways to improve the security of your belongings and loved ones. I get asked alot about what is good or recommended and although each situation is different there are some common things to consider when showing a video surveillance system that will bring the required results.
You have two basic kinds of video surveillance cameras, there are...
