Lyndon LaRouche Sees Microsoft Conspiracy in NIU Shooting

February 19, 2008 -
Miami anti-game violence activist Jack Thompson isn't the only one connecting last week's shooting rampage at NIU to the popular online FPS Counter-Strike.

Fringe political figure Lyndon LaRouche has also linked the game to the NIU tragedy. In a news release bearing the headline International Fascism: Microsoft Will Kill More Youth than Hitler, LaRouche's political action committee writes:
Another young killer, Stephen Kazmierczak, who killed five people and wounded 16 others at Northern Illinois University, was allegedly addicted to Microsoft's Counterstrike killer video-game. "He played a lot of video games, especially Counter-Strike, really loud," said one of his dorm mates...

The intended effect, to foster an environment of mass suicide terrorism in the U.S.A., is a by-product of the 'Revolution in Military Affairs' policy... organized by [financier] Felix Rohatyn and [former Secretary of State] George P. Shultz; the same individuals... are the prime backers of a fascist [NYC Mayor Michael] Bloomberg Presidency.

Comments

I think he may have been into Nintendo's Splinter Cell game where you are Mario Fisher and have to kill people and snap their necks in order to interrogate them.

What all of you are forgetting is the Microsoft owns Sony and Nintendo, through shadow corporations in the underworld. The console wars are all a lie. Also, Microsoft is behind both Blu-Ray AND HD-DVD... and FLORIDE!

Microsoft made the OS the game plays on, not the game. Thats about as stupid as saying we should blame the Department of the Interior because drunk drivers die because they were driving on the interstate.

Someone needs to apply 2x4On directly to Lyndon's head.

Lerouche says,

"Another young killer, Stephen Kazmierczak..."

Funny, the guy is 30!!! He is trying to spin this to make people think the person who did the shooting was probably 17 or 18. I love how he says young killer instead of cites and age...oh boy!

When is he going to realize that Microsoft did not make Counter Strike or that Blomberg is not running for president anymore?

I now dub Lyndon LaRouche King of the Godwins. The man cannot go a single sentence without enacting the law.

Seriously, wtf!?

As long as they don't demand to be allowed to speak at NIU like John Bruce did, let them prattle on about whatever stupidity they want.

Hooray for the lunatic fringe!

OMG when will these nut jobs give it a rest. GAAAH GAMES ARE NOT THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!

hahahha.. Ya just gotta love this guy. What a nutjob. He's always good for a laugh in the morning.

love the hat

Microsoft's Counterstrike killer videogame? Are you kidding me? Microsoft doesn't even know where to begin in making a decent FPS game...where does he come up with the fact that CS was developed my Microsoft?

Wait...what...nya... My brain hurts... Like I took to much ice cream in at once...but it was the worest tasting ice cream ever...and it's name was "Words contained in this article" punch. >.>

Well, at least he's such a lazy idiot that he can't even bother to get the right developer. Rather he bash Microsoft than Valve, since i bet MS has more lawyers than Valve has employees.

^Agreed. If MS buys Epic and get their hands on the UT engine, I predict mass geek sepukus.

Halo's okay, but badly overrated. And the fanbase is ridiculously juvenile.

@catboy_j

That’s because you haven’t adorned the proper LaRouche reading head gear. Reading this drivel without protection is ill advised.

umm so who is this guy mad at? he doesnt even know who makes what. damn if he gets pissed at cars he is gonna blame firestone instead of ford.

I'm still laughing at the Hitler comparison.

BTW, I know Counterstrike uses the Source engine. Just to clarify. I wasn't implying Epic did Counterstrike. Just that MS does mediocre FPSs.

I absolutely love the way the 'research' leaps across the intellectual equivalent of the Grand Canyon by implying a link between two totally unrelated points of view and then simply making a 'leap of Faith' in connecting the two without any evidence.

But then, not only am I British, I'm also of Jewish descent, so I'd better be careful no LaRouchites try to throw me in front of a car or anything....

@nightwng2000: No offense but thats just about equivalent to saying "ignore him and he'll go away".

Papa Midnight

idiot dont even know that cs is not microsoft game.

I'm still laughing at his hat
(havent gotten around to the artile yet)

I can't tell if this guy is trolling or if he's really an idiot.

And Microsoft has nothing to do with Counter-Strike.

Wow, it's pretty sad when even JT sounds more credible compared to Lyndon larouche.

Heck, at least JT doesn't blame the Jews and British.

Wow... just... wow.

The article picture doesn't even come close.

was he also into Valve's Halo?

Counter-Strike initially was a mod devlopped by Half-Life community how is MS involved... let's try the conspiracy theory... the fans weren't truly fans they were Microsoft employees paid to make a game with subliminal messages in it that would corrupt the mind and then take over the world... doesn't make sense since they alreasy took over the world... but I can't find a single motive for Microsoft to do this and I'm trying hard.

Hitler is rolling in his grave right about now. He could have just given video games to the Jews in Germany. -.-

Papa Midnight,
No, it wasn't meant that way.

The WBC could have gone on various blogs and websites and blathered their nonsense and been yelled at, debated with, and counter blathered.

But, instead, they showed up to protest a vigil. Disrespecting the students and staff trying to deal with their grief.

John Bruce wants to do more than chatter on on news programs, websites, and so on. He wants to GO there and dictate to them his personal, religious, and/or political agendas. He wants to directly use them for the purpose of his agenda. The same would be true if the NRA or some anti-gun group or Scientologists wanted to go to NIU and start doing the same thing.

And so to is true of the LaRouches.

I don't want them ignored.

I just don't want these individuals and/or groups to go there and get in the faces of the students, staff, families, communites, etc and start using them directly for their agendas.

Yeah, their chatterings in blogs and such do seem to be also using those who suffered the tragedy for their agendas. But it's not the same as getting in their faces and directly using them.

Really, comparing games with the genocide comitted by Adolf Hitler?
That's just plain disgusting and I am seriously appalled.

Eases the pain, don't it?

So here's my idea: Since all these idiots that go on killing-sprees through campuses wind up offing themselves or getting killed by police, we need something to keep them alive long enough to at least explain why they did it, be it games, or because they were off their meds and it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Proposal: Train school teachers and professors as marksmen, teach them to shoot kneecaps and elbows as necessary to neutralize a threat in a non-lethal manner (elbows to disable the arm holding the gun). Also teach them First Aid (some places this is already standard) so that the fellow doesn't bleed out before he can explain himself.

And let the teachers pack heat with a round chambered. See if these folks even act out like this anymore.

Look everybody, more fools.

Never mind the fact that the shoot is a grown man...

(gah I meant "shooter")

lol the hat... the fact he cant get the developer right.... seriously...

i mean the ONLY EVIDENCE HE HAS is the fact that the dorm mate said ' he played CS real loud'

umm im sure some of his dorm mates would say ' oh he really liked cheese whizz and bagels' if asked what he liked to eat. Does that have ANYTHING to do with the killing spree? well using the same logic apparently so. Ban cheese whizz now.

" International Fascism: Microsoft Will Kill More Youth than Hitler"

It's at times like this I wish they'd make Godwins law a real law.

Man.... and I thought I didn't like M$. Gotta love the crazy

a...wha?

head hurts...

we need gulags....

get rid of the loonies

See, even Jack Thompson has his Michael Jordan to look up to.

im guessing the hat is to stop microsoft from beaming thoughs into his head...

but but but but but but but..

What about Dick Cheney? Wasn't he the big mastermind, or has the crazy fuckwit gotten so senile that he can't remember who is trying to destroy America for more than a week at at time?

Guys the main connection between valve and MS is that some of the oribinal core employees at valve were former MS.

There was also a counterstrike on the xbox.

Thats the connection.

MS Counter Strike? Oh noes!!11 Brace yourselves for Counter Strike Vista!

Anybody ever notice that nobody blames the parents for anything?

Oh sensitive America. If you want to get things done, you've got to aim at the right targets.

Is that sarcasm? Is it meant to make more people think about how idiot JT, and the like, are?[\reality]

Does anyone think it's funny they WILL NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT HIM BEING IN THE ARMY?!?!?! Don't people train with weapons in the army? Wasn't he discharged?

In equally relevant and vitally important news, that Time Cube guy is totally crazy.

This is even more proof that anti-video game activist don't do their research. Saying
Counter-strike was developed by Microsoft is like saying that Pixar made Shrek.

Killer is mentioned thrice in the first full sentence.

Ergo, Agenda.

Andrew EisenNow, having said that, what sites are you reading that are claiming that if "you self-identify as a Gamer, you're immediately the problem" or that gamers are "obligated to stop harassment"? Or was that hyperbole too?09/21/2014 - 1:03am
Andrew EisenFirst of all, ONE person in the Shout box suggested an obligation to call harassers out on their harassing but only after YOU brought it up. Plus, Techno said "when you see it happening." If you don't see it, you're not under any obligation.09/21/2014 - 1:02am
Sleaker@Craig R. - at this point I don't even know what the hashtags are suppsed to be in support of. what does GamerGate actually signify.09/21/2014 - 12:21am
Sleaker@AE - Hyperbole for the first 2, but it seems like some of the comments in the shout are attempting to place blame on fellow gamers because they aren't actively telling people to stop harassing even though they don't necessarily know anyone that has.09/21/2014 - 12:16am
Andrew EisenSleaker - Who the heck are you reading that is claiming "all gamers are bad," we "need to pass laws or judgement on all gamers," that if "you self-identify as a Gamer, you're immediately the problem," or that gamers are "obligated to stop harassment"?09/20/2014 - 9:44pm
erthwjimhe swatted more than just krebs, I think he swatted 30 people http://krebsonsecurity.com/2014/05/teen-arrested-for-30-swattings-bomb-threats/09/20/2014 - 9:31pm
Craig R.Btw, the guy who swatted security expert Brian Krebs? He got picked up recently. It can be done.09/20/2014 - 8:55pm
Craig R.Such things are not done in a vacuum... hence why the 4chan and other logs show what fools you've all been, tricked into doing the trolls' work09/20/2014 - 8:49pm
Sleaker@Technogeek - How do you call someone out that anonymously calls in a SWAT team, or sends threats to people?09/20/2014 - 7:04pm
Technogeek"It also doesn't mean you're obligated to stop harassment from all gamers that are doing so." I'd say you're certainly obligated to call them out when you see it happening.09/20/2014 - 5:17pm
SleakerNow if you disagree with anything in my last 2 posts then we obviously have a difference in world view, and wont come to any sort of agreement. I'm fine with that, maybe some people aren't?09/20/2014 - 5:09pm
SleakerIt also doesn't mean that just because a news outlet says that Gamers are the problem and you self-identify as a Gamer, you're immediately the problem. It also doesn't mean you're obligated to stop harassment from all gamers that are doing so.09/20/2014 - 4:59pm
SleakerJust to re-iterate: People getting harassed is wrong. Just because someone is harassed by so called 'gamers' doesn't mean that all gamers are bad. nor does it mean that you need to pass laws or judgement on all gamers.09/20/2014 - 4:56pm
SleakerAnd furthermore just because someone doesn't 'crusade against the evil' that doesn't make them the problem. You can have discussion with those around you. There's a thing called sphere of influence.09/20/2014 - 4:54pm
Sleaker@Conster - one person getting harassed is a 'problem' only so far as the harassee's are doing it. Just because a select few people choose to act like this doesn't make it widespread. Nor does it immediately make everyone responsible to put an end to it.09/20/2014 - 4:54pm
james_fudgeno worries09/20/2014 - 4:15pm
TechnogeekI misread james' comment as "we can't have a debate without threatening" there at first. Actually wound up posting a shout about death threats and "kill yourself" not technically being the same thing before I realized.09/20/2014 - 3:59pm
james_fudgeDon't hit me *cowers behind Andrew*09/20/2014 - 3:20pm
ConsterYou take that back right now, james, or else. *shakes fist menacingly*09/20/2014 - 3:00pm
