
In the midst of the Take Two-EA hurly-burly comes word that Phil Harrison has resigned as president of Sony Computer Entertainment's Worldwide Studios, effective February 29th.
A Sony press release indicated that Kaz Hirai, President and Group CEO of SCEI, will assume Harrison's duties. Said Harrison:
The past 15 years at Sony Computer Entertainment has been the defining journey of my life so far. I am grateful to all the PlayStation family for their incredible support, guidance and friendship. It has been a privilege to serve as part of the team and be inspired by them on a daily basis. I am so proud of everything PlayStation has achieved and will continue to support its future in every way I can.
Pure Speculation Dept: So, where is Harrison heading next? Not that we like to rumor-monger, but we can't help noticing that Harrison's announcement dropped right in the middle of EA's hostile takeover bid for Take Two. Should EA gain control of T2, it's a given that Strauss Zelnick is history. So...
