The Daily Show Riffs on GTA IV

Okay, so it wasn't the funniest bit we've ever seen on The Daily Show.

But host Jon Stewart and "Senior Virtual Correspondent" Aasif Madvi take a look at GTA IV in this video.

Wow. That just wasn't funny at all.
The best bit was the comparison of Scalia's torture statement to GTA IV's violence. I totally understand how Aasif mistook him for an NPC in the game.
@ CyberSkull

Agreed - that was the *real* funny GTA IV bit.
It wasn't hilarious, but that probably was because they weren't making fun of the kid that got busted for trying to steal GTA4. That, and its hard to make fun of folks standing in line, under umbrellas.
He made a HUGE point though, that we can use against anyone who calls us braindead morons:

Did you notice that he brought up the fact that none of those people in line were trying to kill each other? That's HUGE, and it's proof that gamers can be civilized
@MaskedPixelante
Agreed :-)

But wait! I suppose they could say that's not proof! It came from the daily show, he must have doctored the video. And then they will pay some guy to say he was mugged outside of Gamestop because they are criminal havens.
The Scalia tie-in was the best, the rest was just 'meh'.

But yeah, the abject shock that the people in line weren't killing each other, unlike the brides. Priceless.
I liked the later bit where Aasif Madvi was behind the wheel better.
Did anyone else notice on the driving scene that the game was going backwards? You can see the plane in the background flying backwards, lol. I guess they taped it going one way and played it backwards to make it look like he was driving the right way.
I liked the earlier one about San Andreas better.
