GP Server Crash

GP Server Crash

May 9, 2008
Our hosting company had a server issue late yesterday which caused GamePolitics to be down for about three hours. We also lost a few reader comments when the server came back up.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

On the brighter side, we've been working on a complete overhaul of GP which is just about complete. We hope to unveil it next week, so watch this space...

Will there be an edit button?
An edit button would be appreciated, it's possibly the most requested feature I've seen on here aside from the "Mute Jack Thompson" button. As long as the posts are locked for editing after say 5 minutes so certain lawyers who shall remain nameless can't rewrite history to retroactively remove their foot from their mouth.
Please an edit button. FOR GREAT JUSTICE!!!
No edit button for me, thanks. Pretty sure I'm infalliable.
This is Jack's doing. He wanted to prevent us from speaking the REAL truth about games, so he had the server crash.
@ Ken

I guess it wouldnt be the first time he email-bombed a server into oblivion...
@ Everybody hoping for an edit button

We need a quote button also.
I'm pretty sure that plane is a triplane, GP.

(Yes I actually looked at the filename. I'm wierd, I know.)
@ Christian Astrup

If that's how the GP email server looked I'd HATE to see the fax machine O.O

@ GP

No worries. It happens. We still have our games to play while things like this get fixed :D
YAY! GIVE US AN EDIT BUTTON PLEASE!
Holy crap, I never knew it even happened! No worries, though. We do need an Edit Button, so that there won't be any need for EDIT Posts, as well as a Quote Button, so the posts are easier to make.
"mute jack thompson button" LOL
