With his remaining time as a licensed attorney likely numbered in days rather than decades, you might think that anti-game campaigner Jack Thompson would be in something of a funk.
However, Thompson has e-mailed GamePolitics with a YouTube link to a new G4TV parody called Jack Thompson Was Right. His subject line? "Very Funny, Really"...
However, when we jumped over to YouTube the video was gone, and the following notice posted: "This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by g4 Media Inc."
No worries. G4TV still has the video...

GP is obsessed with him. I don't mean dennis mccauley, he must be incredibly tired of him. However, his obligation to his work on this site requires extensive coverage of thompson just because of who he is and what he does. Most people are redirected over here because of thompson mainly, and GP tends to capitalize on that. There are many posts about Thompson that we could've done without....

It was actually pretty funny. And by having him be the hero and be right, he can't hit them with a defemation of character law suits.
However, who expects a press release with something stating how "Major video game media outlets are now publicly declaring 'Jack Thompson was right'". Along with some choice quotes from it with out stating that it was 'satire' (see what I did there?).
That might be fun to watch for an hour and a half . . .

...Well. I mean I have doubts that Jack knows that they are making fun of him and his absurd claims. But Jack may be so far gone into lala land that to him that just very well may seem like a completely true to life biography.
What I find most amusing is that he sent it to gamepolitics.com, like he was group of it. Someone needs to explain to him the meaning of satire.

I actually tried watching it, but in the end I could only suffer through half of it. Just like everything that comes from G4, it's nothing more than garbage.
I thought it was pretty well done, made me laugh a few times. Especially when I first saw the handsome-action-hero-archetype in that bad wig. And the tat, lol.
Why is Jack emailing here about that? Does he think GP had a hand in it?
He would only realize that it's satire if G4 promised to give $10,000 to charity in the video and then not do it.

With out the rest of the letter it's kind of hard to tell but coming from JT "Very funny, really..." Doesn't sound like an agreeable sentiment. I'd imagine he was pissed but GP didn't feel the rest of the inane ranting was worth posting as it probably equated to "you guys are a bunch of assholes" in much more drawn out speech.
They had this on during their live coverage of E3. I thought it was pretty funny. Even posted a link in the shout boxes two days ago.....

That was actually funny! Are we sure G4 did it? Jack has been known to have a sense of humor, when it suits his ego. That muscley body double was flattering enough, I imagine the satire was lost on him.

I thought it was bloody hilarious myself. But it was mayhap a tad too subtle for JT to realize it was a parody of him.

Oh, stop with the conspiracies already. Maybe, just maybe, Jack Thompson has a sense of humor and saw it as it was. Not only a parody of himself but also the GTA4 obsessed fanbase. I think the only reason why he decided to share it with GP is that he knew the posters and readers here would get a kick out of it. Sure, Jack Thompson can be a jerk at times and a bit of a whackjob, but even whackjobs have a sense of humor. I know I do.
I know it was a parody of Jack Thompson's delusional image of himself, but come on....I really can't help but feel anything but disgusted to see this man portrayed as the "hero" of anything, even in parody.
But it's insane macho cliche satire man. I f you still feel disgusted by it then either you're taking the video way too seriously or your dislike of Jack has gone too deep.

Meh, I liked G4 back when it was just TechTV. Now a days it's more directed towards the college Fratboy crowd, i.e. Attack of the show with that human party favor Olivia Munn, and the Japanese game shows.
I lol'd hard at the edited interview with Adam Sessler, with Jack standing there half naked with steam rising behind him.
Has anyone watched the Escapist's Jack Thompson video? I'm surprised he hasn't done anything about it, despite the fact it's probably a foreign project.
PS - it's directed by "Uwe Boll". And that's reason enough to watch.

Interesting that Mr. Thompson feels the need to show everyone a video about himself. Over-inflated ego perhaps? A video that some people may not have seen otherwise and that is about himself....he must love the publicity and attention. Just to remind us that he's still around.
Take Two took down the video? I thought it was G4...oh wait, Take Two created GTA so they must have conspired to keep Thompson from looking good. Maybe the janitor at G4 used to work at Take Two and used this opportunity to take down the video, the evil janitor.
