British tabloid News of the World reports that 64-year-old Crediton Mayor Frank Letch (left) will be motion-captured for an upcoming video game.
Letch, born with no arms, has reportedly developed a remarkable dexterity with his feet. He can drive a car, peel a potato and write, using just his feet.
From the NotW story:
[Letch] will be kitted out with special leggings fitted with electronic tags before being filmed carrying out various tasks with his feet.
The footage will then be mapped onto a computer and Frank... will be transformed into a cartoon... He was approached by Fragment Media, based in Newcastle, after its director Simon McKeown spotted him at a disability exhibition.
The game project involving Letch is not specified.

Ok that's something you don't hear everyday. Although I wonder what kind of game will feature a protagonist that only uses his feet? (or maybe it'll be an antagonist).
Probably:
- a character who's simply very good with his feets (arms added afterwards)
- an armless war veteran or hospital patient
- an armless alien creature with human-like movements
That's all I can think for now.
... Homestar Runner?
LOL
Does anyone know what games came from Fragment studios? I'm not familiar with them.

Well, I'm Intrigued. Hopefully we'll get a follow up on what the game is.

See? I always knew that videogames are 'armless...!
Personally, I would just love to have the motion captures for reference, like I have books of Muybridge photographs. How often do you get the chance to study the movement of someone who has developed such fascinating coping mechanisms? I really hope this is for more than just motion capture for some monster...this is just too cool.
I'm all for freedom of ttnet vitamin speech and allowing rent a car game makers to put whatever they want in games, but there's one thing about this app that has me scratching my head. Correct me if I'm wrong, but from araç kiralama the previous article araba kiralama on this I gathered that players can use Google maps in-game to find the other (real-life?) dealers in their area. If this is the case, has travesti anyone considered what's stopping someone from using this app to actually move drugs between hands for reals?
