Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

February 25, 2009

Making good on a vow to bring up Japanese PC title RapeLay in Parliament, British Labour MP Keith Vaz has issued a call for the game to be banned in the U.K., reports the Evening Standard:

Mr Vaz, who campaigns against violent computer games, called on the Government to ban [RapeLay] from sale to UK players over the internet.

In a Commons motion, he said he was "appalled that a video game that simulates rape has been readily available for sale on the internet".

He welcomed the decision by Amazon to withdraw the game.

As GamePolitics reported earlier this month, Vaz was one the first to speak out against RapeLay.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

Heh, can't belive a 5 year old game causes so much uproar. Given that it's hard enough to find a site that sells it, on top of the fact that you can Download it from dozens and dozens of torrent sites, well, this seems kinda pointless. I don't condone rape, but at the same time, banning this game is not gonna stop anyone who wants it from getting it.

Pointless, retarded, worthless. If vaz dares to try and blame this on the UK or US game industries, there should be a lawsuit on his ass within minutes.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

Ah but it's more pointless than that even, the game doesn't have a BBFC rating and therefore can't be sold in the UK anyway. It's as banned as it can effectively get.

Unless the government trys to close down the internet, there's nothing more to be done.

Gift.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

Wouldn't this already be covered by the UK's new content laws that shut down bdsm sites?

Being a 'pervert' in the UK is already illegal under the idea that you might commit some horrible crime.  I guess the UK has not come all that far in the last 50 years *moment of silience for Turing*

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

Apart from being more liberal than the US, although that isn't exactly a hard thing to do.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

The UK is both more, and less, liberal then the US.  When it comes to social freedoms I would actually put them behind the US and falling further.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

Yes, yes. The US is an ultra-conservative superpower that will come to your house, blow your door down with a tank, take your money, and put the fear of God into you. Then we'll take your country and plant dozens of mega-corporations all around, take the rest of your money, and blow down a few more doors for good measure. Why? Because we're bored and we like to blow shit up.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

As far as I know, no UK retailers (online or not) are selling Rapelay so how would such a ban work?    I'm not familiar enough with UK law; is there some way to make the act of purchasing the game illegal?

Andrew Eisen

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

Such things are alreayd illegal in the UK.

This ban is the equivlent of the police finding kiddy porn with a redhead in it and then someone trying to ban kiddy porn with redheads, dispite the fact other laws already cover the case.

Ugh, politicans.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

Heh... someone should send these guys to Japan. With a video camera and easy access to YouTube. I wanna see the heads of overly-prudish politicians explode. I just find it funny that it took one of those games winding up on Amazon for bored politicians to realize that they existed.

Hmm, wasting tax payer money banning something that isn't sold in that country to begin with.

Ugh, stupid people exist everywhere.

A small letter to Keith Vaz

BAN THE INTERNETS!!!!!!!!

Seriously though, the whole Rapelay thing is out of control; although it'll be a good distraction to the RE5 controversy. Which I guess is good.

To Keith Vaz:

Are you seriously going to ban one hentai from all of England? The game is probably hard to find on a regular selling website; but as other people have pointed out you can download it. It’s probably not rated by the PEGI (Can games be sold without a rating in Europe?) and it’s not an official game of England so… why are you bothering?

Sincerely,

PushDustIn

Re: A small letter to Keith Vaz

Each European country is different. In England video games (and videos) can not be sold* if they are not rated by the BBFC. I can't find RapeLay on the BBFC search so I'm guessing it has not been rated.

RapeLay might also be caught out by some of the rules that either have been or will soon be implemented regarding cartoon child porn. I have not been following this very closely but I believe the UK is going to introduce something that bans fake kiddy porn and as this game allows the rape of a ten year old girl I think it would be covered by that. If I  have got this right then it is likely that owning any fake kiddy porn (including this game) would lead to jail time and some time on the sex offenders register.

* You can own it.

I always wanted to ask if it´s agaisnt law to make rape-fantasy porn videos in the USA or England. Can somebody answer me?

It's legal in the US as long as you're not actually raping someone in the process of making the video.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

So making a game like Rapelay should be legal in the USA because porn industry can do it, right?

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

Probably. The age of a couple of the characters involved might cause an issue, as the whole "virtual child porn" thing in the US still hasn't been resolved clearly and definitively.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

Now that's just going to be fucking confusing and goofy.

Imagine me drawing a cartoony version of Obama that gets blown up (in the drawing). Now obviously I'm not violating anyone's right because the real Obama is perfectly fine (and since he's the president I get to do this thing without paying him royalties because he's a public figure). After all I'm just drawing something that resembles Obama.

Now let's take Samus. Yes she's not under-age but let's roll with it (and ignore copyright claims by Nintendo). I draw a picture of horrible things happening to Samus. Now is that violating Samus's rights or am I merely making a representation of Samus and not harming her in the way that blowing up cartoon Obama doesn't harm the current U.S. president?

You didn't get in any serious trouble for drawing cartoons of your 4th grade teacher falling off a cliff so why should it be any different with Samus?

You see this is where the laws become seriously retarded.

I'd like to ask these people if they think animals deserve the same rights as humans (you know Peta doctrine). If they say no they should be branded hypocrite of the year (or maybe prime idiot of the year or something).

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

Lol, there are already plenty pictures of Samus doing dirty and sexy things

Well, also, there is that porn actress playing Sarah Palin, and she is not getting sued for promoving rape or dirty thoughts against a public figure. So if an porn actor comes to parody Obama y a porn flick, maybe won´t be sued either.

The problem for this people is the media, not really the sex.

About those 4th grade pictures of teaches falling off a cliff, many people would claim that child have mental health problems for wishing the teacher´s death, even if it´s not true.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

I don't know the legal bits but because Palin and Obama are public figures or something like that people have more license to do stuff like that. Before the election one place was selling John Mccain and Barack Obama action figures and I don't think either man saw a dime of them.

And yes I realize Samus cannot escape rule 34, she's too popular.

I had a school over react to me drawing a picture of a bomb (black circle with a fuse) so perhaps they would go overboard over teacher falling off a cliff but I betcha there's a lot of schools that would just throw out the drawing or give a slap on the wrist and be done with it.

In elementary school, I used to draw a lot and my teachers never were very pleased about that. They consider anormal if you don´t do what they say. Plus, I went to a Jehova´s Witness sponsored school, so... it didn´t ended too well.

That depends on where you live:

Fake Simpson's cartoon is 'porn' http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/7770781.stm

"the mere fact that they were not realistic representations of human beings did not mean that they could not be considered people."

Personally I would think the 'mere fact' that they were a drawing of a fictional person would mean they could not be considered people, otherwise anyone who's worked on Tom & Jerry would be arrested for animal cruelty.

There are no real people in Raplelay so I don't see the problem, I wouldn't expect to be able to wander into my local games store and grab a copy off the shelf but banning a game that isn't available in the UK other than by downloading a dodgy copy or by importing (which would also be dodgy as legitimate retail copies are not for distribution outside of Japan) seems a bit farcical.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

Ok we have our nominee for idiot of the year.

Well really he can't seriously believe they're real people and is thus trying to bend the law to punish someone for doing a harmless thing he considers immoral.

So brand him asshole power junkie of the year.

And disbar him.

And draw a cartoon of him getting killed and try to see if he can nab us for assault with a reasonable person as judge.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

Actually, no, it is not.

Simulated rape videos fall under obsenity laws if someone feel prosecuting them.    It is not unheard of for those who make such videos to be arrested.

In a similiar veign, it should also be noted that, say, bdsm is prosecutable in the US too since you can not concent to abuse.  It is rare that anyone bothers but that doesn't stop the few cases from moving forward.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

I've been trying to imagine what his proposal would actually do, and how it could be inacted. I suppose he wants to make it illegal for individuals to resale copies of the game purchised in Japan (since it's not commercially available in the U.K.). But clearly it would be completely ineffective to ban a single obscure game when there are litterally thousands of published japanese books, games and videos with similar content. And it would be impracticle to make a comission that analizes every piece of media, in every language and country, for illicit content.

The only meaningful piece of legislation he could introduce would be a blanket ban on all depictions of rape in any medium. Anything less then that is pointless grandstanding.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

Does this mean that UK sellers couldn't sell the game over the internet to UK buyers? What if they buy from somebody outside of the UK. Is the buyer at fault then?

---------------------------------

Internet troll > internet paladin

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

Yes, the reciever is responsible for any imported goods so it's the buyers responsibility to ensure that it can be legally shipped into their country.

Practically speaking though it's more likely that a copy of the game will pass through customs no problem as they don't open up every package (especially something that would be the size of a games case), just very large consignments and anything that raises a red flag (something odd on scans, dubous documentation etc).

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

Darn, were you getting tired of using 'Chipmunk Cheeks' Vaz? That was always my favorite pic of his :P

That damn game made the local morning show though, I really should've wrote in to say 'well you can't exactly run down to your local gamestop and buy this' ... because you can't. (Unless someone traded it in used but, I'm pretty sure they don't take imports anyway.)

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

Way to go, now you (Keith Vaz) and the other idiots trying to have the "game" banned are only going to bring more attention to it. People don't have to actually buy this game to get their hands on it. These idiots are just going to cause a bunch of people to pirate it. Good job jack asses.

Have they not learned their lesson? What happened with Manhunt? They tried banning it and cause a massive outcry over it and people sought it out. People flipped over GTA and people sought it out. Those games are readily available, but at least people would have to part with money in those cases. But with this RapeLay "game" people can just find it for free on the internet. Banning it won't do a damn thing, it's just a waste of time and money.

This people don't learn!

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

You can download anything you want from illegal filesharing websites and torrents, and this fact shouldn't be considered when talking about banning the SALE of a particular item. You are committing a crime by way of breaking copyright law, so by saying that it is pointless to ban an item when it can be acquired through committing another crime is irrelevant.

Anyway the game has never been on sale within the UK at least not from normal outlets, because this game is interactive pornography, which is entirely different to standard computer games. You would have to look in sex shops to find this game in the first place. Obviously it doesn't sound that important when you say "we must ban a game that is being sold in sex shops", because you have instantly classified the game as adult and not being aimed at children. Parents when thinking about the comments regarding this game coming from politicians believe that this is being sold next to Pokeman rather than it being sold next to dildos and condoms.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

Oh dear god I just conflated that and saw pokemon branded condoms. Now I'm trying to get that image out of my head.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

Once I put two male Pokemon in a breeding centre and then two female pokemon.

Nothing happened except they gained a few levels.

Now I then put in a male and female Pokemon in that same breeding centre and suddenly I got an egg.

I often wonder what were my two pokemon going everytime when I put the two of them in that breeding centre?

Oh Nintendo just loves to give us a innocent yet so dirty minds as adults.

But it is innocent enough to make kids think nothing of it, yet parents would be horrified because they only look at things as a parent.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

You know, I'm still remaining of the fence on this issue.  But I wonder what's going to happen when these people realize that there are hundreds of hentai games that depict rape, and probably thousands that depict non-adult characters.  They keep focusing on this one single game.  Surely at least one of them is going to take the notion to research the Japanese Adult Gaming market....

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

They're politicans, of course they're not going to do the research.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

I wonder what's going to happen when these people realize that there are hundreds of hentai games that depict rape

especially because unlike RapeLay, sometimes the rapist gets away with it

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

I think that the Bible does prove one important point.

Even though rape is a really horrible crime, it does also deserve to be talked about and even covered as a topic in a book, movie, song and even a videogame.

Because from the way I read the bible, I don't think that it ever really says that rape is ok, more likely it is trying to say that rape was happening back in those times and it is always a continual problem in society.

And being afraid to talk about rape or not being allowed to delve into rape as a topic is really giving people the wrong idea that rape is something that is new.

For so long, we have finally started to have voctims of rape comming out of the shaddow to tell about their experiences of what had happened in their lives and we are starting to understand now how rape is horribe.

Yet still, there are people who are not used to hearing about rape and they try to bann even talking about it even if it is though a videogame, movie, book or music lyrics.

And sadly, this is the wrong thing for society because if we are forced not to talk about rape or use rape as a theme, then all that it is doing is that it is giving ammunition to rapists to keep doing their crime because no one wants to hear about it from the victims, and that leaves the victims feeling alone because they can't even talk about it.

And I think that is the wrong thing to do in society to be honest.

Although this is only my opinion, I could be wrong you know.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

reminds me of something from Carlin (paraphrased).

"Some people don't want you to talk about those things. They say if you talk about them they're more likely to happen. Some people are fucking stupid."

This coming from the man who tried to prove rape can be funny (and succeeded).

Just like swear words, if you make talking about a subject taboo or 'out of bounds' you automatically add artificial weight to it.

岩「…Where do masochists go when they die?」

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

Also you have to mention that the BBFC have their R18 porn rating.

It is a blue color rectangle that has R18 in it. And it also has RESTRICTED just under the 18 sign.

I also know for a fact that the R18 rating is only applied for Movies and DVDs that contain porn, and NOT videogames.

So in a way, Rapelay will never be passed by the BBFC in the first place.

So why try to ban a game on the internet when already it is never being sold commercially in the country?

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

If I remeber right graphic fictional representations of rape in pornographic material is banned here anyway so even if R18 was used for games it still wouldn't pass, personally I don't think this should apply to this game as they arn't real people but really there are better ways that a game like this could be banned than Keith Vaz shouting about it.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

> I also know for a fact that the R18 rating is only applied for Movies and DVDs that contain porn, and NOT videogames.

Is that the lack of porn video games or are the BBFC actively stopping porn video games from appling?

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

Lack of hardcore porn games that are being requested for release, if you have a look through their search bit theres only one game that has been rejected, ever. Manhunt II (4 listings under different submissions)

http://www.bbfc.co.uk/website/Classified.nsf/SearchClassifiedWorks/?SearchView&Query=(%20[DateReject]%20>=%2001/01/1900)%20%20and%20(%20[DateReject]%20<=%2026/02/2009)%20and%20((%20[TypeOfMedia]%20contains%20DigitalMedia))&SearchMax=50

I searched by leaving all the fields blank and changing the category to Rej (Rejected) and only checking the video games box , if you do the same search with category as anything and sex as a keyword it returns a list of adult games with mostly 18 or restricted 18 rating (there are also quite a few things on the listed rated for children as their description includes Contains no sex, violence or bad language)

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

Keith Vaz=Jack Thompson of UK.

Great, I hope he doesn't go after anime and manga next.  He do that, anime haters may look at him the other way and give up video game just so they can help him ban or legislate anime/manga.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

mdo7, seriously man, have you tried talking to someone about this? I'm not trying to be an ass, but seriously paranoia is treatable with counceling and/or medication. I really believe your fear of this is irrational.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

I'm not paranoid.

Am I the only one who knows about anime haters more then anyone.  Looking at anime haters profile, and seeing how they think (comments, message, and video).  It can show them how they think and how they can act.  The anime haters may be trolls, but they have thoughts and mentality of Jack Thompson.  Studying anime haters' behaviorial profile is like how FBI's Behaviorial Analysis Unit study minds of criminials.  I'm the only one who know how anime haters behave.  They can turn into video game haters by any way, I already met one anime hater (he look up to jack Thompson) who hate video game and there may be more of them.  Anime haters (the extremist one) will side with anyone who anime even Keith Vaz if he attack anime next.  They can become the next Jack Thompson if those video game critics decide to attack anime next.  If a lot of anime haters can hate Batman just because it became a anime(Batman: Gotham Knights), then they can turn against video game.  There are many ways for anime haters to turn against video game:

-Xbox Live marketplace and Playstation Network video store selling more anime.

-the next GTA, GTA 5 take place in Japan (rumored), and Rockstar North decide to use anime-sty;e animation.

-If American RPG developers like Bioware, or Bethesda Game decide to make a RPG heavily influence by JRPGs/anime.

-if more western games use anime as a influence.  Like for exmaple, Mirror's Edge 2 use anime animation.

Re: Keith Vazgina Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on "Rape" Game

Well, if that guy looks up to the Metropolitian Moron of Miami, then his I.Q. test came back negative.

In the long run: dude, I agree with the above poster that you're being paranoid. That's just one pathetic self-important retard trying to make himself feel good.

First off, Rockstar North will make a Tokyo-based GTA game(if there is one) as realistic as possible like the previous games are.

Second, I would argue that current American animation is already anime-influenced. Hell, Japanese anime/manga itself was influenced by Disney when the Japanese were starting out.

Third, it would be a case of "been there, done that", since the "moral watchdog" retards have already attacked comic books, old Saturday morning cartoons, Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry, Beavis & Butthead, The Simpsons, Family Guy, and South Park.

Finally, same First Amendment protections apply(Freedom of speech) and same Fourteenth Amendment protections apply as well(can't legislate Japanese anime/manga without legislating American comic books or cartoons, and this time the comic book industry will have learned from their mistakes from 50 years ago).

Also, Hollywood itself is making money off of and is heavily influenced by Japanese anime/manga. Prime example: The Matrix series. And add in that Hollywood heavyweights like Steven Spielberg, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Keanu Reeves are trying their hand at live-action movies based on anime(the god-awful looking Dragon Ball movie notwithstanding).

Geaux Saints, Geaux Tigers, Geaux Hornets, Jack Thompson can geaux chase a chupacabra.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

lol.. it is a little paranoid tbh...

To be honest i dont know a single person on the planet i would personally class as an 'anime hater'. Sure i know people who dont watch much anime, because its not their thing... whats the problem with that? I dont really know anyone personally that has actively lobbied to get anime banned,  or  commit terrorist acts against against anime producers or anything like that...

As for a games being banned because they start taking anime influences....? wha?

Ever played the dragdon ball or naruto games? Those games already exist and are very popular.. and havent been banned... MANY games take anime influences... and they are pretty popular...

If bioware made an RPG with an anime style (oddly the are making a cartoony MMO KNights of the old republic RIGHT NOW) then..it would be widely acceptepted (as the cartoony MMO is currently being accepted). I dont get how these are problems, they are alrady happening, and there havent been any bad consequences..

I really dont get the idea of this band of people sat round in an 'anime hater' organization stroking white cats and plotting evil schemes to bring down anime (and how exactly would they justify this?). As far as i can see at least violent video game critics have some kind of argument (although ultimately incorrect). What argument do 'anime haters' have?. I mean if they hate 'anime' as a genre what possible reason can they have to get it justifiably banned? " i dont like spiky hair!!" or "I dont like the bright colours" arent really compelling reasons to get it banned. As soon as you say "its because some animes are violent they want them banned", then there is no 'anime hater' you just have a plain old violence critic. The same breed that criticise games.

Sorry.. i just cant see where this paranoia is coming from!

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

To mdo's defens,e there WAS A petition going online a LONG time ago from someone who wanted anime banned, but no one took him seriously, ever, so still, nothing to worry about.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

oh also forgot street fighter 4!!

man that game is like street fighter and anime had a baby. And its great.

Anime is alredy in games and it isnt causing problems and hasnt meant that we are more likely to see games be banned. To suggest that something can be banned just bacause of the WAY in which is is drawn is ludicrous.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

It's not paranoia if they really are out to get you .... but seriously though you're just a whole bag of crazy.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

quick!!! someone tip them off to go watch boku no pico!!!

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

Oh frack. I was always worried that one day the raving loonies elected to office would see one of these games.

Maybe we should round up all the politicians who seek legistlation about this game and any similar should be sent to Japan and forced into one of the stores where this game, and worse is sold.

I'd be crossing my fingers that their heads explode. I'm figuring the only ones left would be the hypocritical ones who cry foul, but really get their jollys from this sort of thing; and the ones who shrug it off and go back to work.

Hey, at least it would create a lot of job openings.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

It's a game that can only be sold both in Japan AND on the internet from sites FROM JAPAN!!!!

I don't think that the laws of one country can override another country based on morals alone.

Also the game is already been protected from minors, YOU HAVE TO DOWNLOAD THE GAME AND INSTALL SOMETHING THAT ALLOWS YOU TO

TRANSLATE THE JAPANESE LANGUAGE!!!

Also being only avaliable on the internet, you have to have a creddit card.

So isn't the simple thing to do is to ask parents NOT to allow your child to use your creddit card without knowing about it?

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

It seems so stupid to ban one game. They can just make a sequel or call it something else. Or they can just make another game with the same objectionable content.

Debates are like merry go rounds. Two people take their positions then they go through the same points over and over and over again. Then when it's over they have the same positions they started in.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

I will just copy-paste my comment from Evening Standard here:

You must be real proud of getting the TWO (2) used copies banned from Amazon.com. Because of that you have generated a huge surge in sales of the game by giving it free publicity. To prove my point let me give you some sale rankings from Amazon.jp. When I heard the news of Amazon.com withdrawing the game I checked Amazon.jp to see if the game was still sold there. It was sold and it was ranked #51 in the sales of erotic games. Now after the publicity it has been receiving it's ranked at #11, making it the oldest game in the the top 20.

So good job mr Vaz for boosting the sales of a obscure game that no one cared about. I have no statistics to show, but you can bet that the sales on sites that sell it outside of Japan are experiencing an even bigger boost. The Illusion guys in Yokohama must be real grateful to you.

And I can't even dream how many people have downloaded the game after hearing about it.

Edit: Seems like they did not like my comment, because it has not appeared 30 hours after sending it

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

On the cartoons being real people issue.

I remember someone in Japan making a patittion to marry a Anime character.

Now the reason why a person can't marry a Anime character or even a cartoon character is simply because cartoons and Anime people are NOT REAL PEOPLE!!!!

So if I can't marry a Cartoon character, does that mean that cartoon characters are not real people?

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

I know two gay men that can't get married. Does that mean they are not real? ;-)

Only in America, they can get married just about everywhere else.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

Except for the Middle East where being gay is considered a criminal act and probably some other countries where gay marraige isn't a big issue.

Re: Keith Vaz Moves in Parliament for UK Ban on Rape Game

Parents if your kids have a sudden urge to see or play RapePlay you can blame Keith Vaz for needlessly bringing the game into the spotlight.

It would make my day if a group of parents started yelling at Vaz for just that reason.

It would make my week if that got featured on a big news outlet.
