According to a Kotaku, over the last 90 days more games have sold on Amazon’s Kindle device than books. Eight of the top 12 best-selling products in the Kindle store are games. In fact, the top six products in the list are games.
While these games are highly casual, it’s still an interesting wrinkle and a side-path for Amazon to make money with its e-reader device. The games, which sell for anywhere from 99 cents to $3.99, include Mahjohng, Sudoku, two different versions of Jumble, and more.
While we do not expect the Kindle to be competing with iOS devices or other handhelds, these games sales are fascinating nonetheless.
