Advocacy group Reclaim Your Game clarified comments it made about SecuRom, the dreaded DRM solution, making its way into Dragon Age II. EA and BioWare have said publicly that SecuRom is not in Dragon age II. While Reclaim Your Game acknowledges that the implementation of SecuRom in Dragon Age II seems to be harmless and doesn't do anything to systems that install the game, the group is not backing down from its initial claims.
RYG's Martin Pham says that the group has been in touch with producer Fernando Melo and hopes to hear BioWare's side of the story soon. He said that the site stands by its findings, and that the results could be reproduced with any "disc-based" version of the game. From the RYG site:
"The Dragon Age 2 reports were written to highlight a clear and systemic issue that is prevalent with many Publishers active within the Industry. That is: there is a clear lack of notification and consideration behind the DRMs implemented," he wrote. "In any case, we want to help, not just Bioware and EA, but also other publishers in correcting and remedying this rather simple process."
RYG's point of contention is disclosure. If EA, BioWare or any other publisher is going to include DRM schemes they should disclose this fact to the end user.
On a related note, this graphic put together by some unknown person allegedly shows a BioWare employee's glowing user review of Dragon Age II on Metacritic. The review has since been removed, but there are plenty of screen captures showing the original review. Fans, who believe it to be true, went on a rampage and put up their own heavily negative reviews of the game on the site.

Re: Reclaim Your Game Clarifies SecuRom Dragon Age II ...
I'd like to hear BioWare's side of the story too; seems like they're caught between a rock and a hard place on this one.
