The Chicago chapter of the International Game Developer’s Association (IGDA) has teamed up with Indie City Games, to run the first ever joint “Chicago Games Showcase.” The event will showcase prominent game developers in the Chicago area and present up-and-coming talent. Developers will show off new and current games and talk about them with attendees. The Games Showcase starts on Saturday, May 28 at 12pm and runs until 3pm at DePaul University (243 South Wabash Avenue, Room 924, Chicago, IL 60604). Check out the group's Meetup group or its Facebook page for more details.
In case you didn't know, the International Game Developers Association is the world's largest non-profit membership organization that represents the cares and concerns of game creators. Indie City Games is described by its founders a "loose collection of Midwest-based video game nerds" who want to bring together people in Chicago who have an interest in creating their own games.
