It looks like Nexon has taken a user survey that found that 75 percent of its users that get married in the MMO MapleStory end up getting divorced. The company announced plans to add new content to supplement the wedding system in the game's next major update - which will also add a class rebalance, party quests, and a new Monster Park.
Ascension, the big update coming out this month, will add new things for lovers to do in the game. After the update, players who have said "I Do" can take part in battles through Ascension’s brand new party quests, which - they say - have been balanced for more efficient leveling. The survey being referenced from 2010 found that about 26,982 in-game marriages in North America were performed and 20,344 - or 75 percent - were annulled at the players’ request.
When we asked Nexon if they had any plans to make some changes to the wedding system, they said yes, but that those details would not be revealed until next week.
