GameFly's PC Client Enters Public Beta

GameFly is finally putting that acquisition of digital distribution platform Direct2Drive to good use. According to a Joystiq report, the video game rental company has launched the public beta for its PC game distribution client. The highlight for GameFly members is that they can play the entire PC library for no charge.

"We are thrilled to finally be able to open up the beta so anyone interested in video games can start using the client, and we are hard at work expanding our catalog of PC titles for our users to play for free in the Unlimited PC Play section," said Sean Spector, GameFly co-founder and SVP of Business Development and Content.

The client will allow the company to start selling PC games at GameFly.com, and through its iOS and Android Apps. The GameFly library features over 1,500 Windows and Mac games right now, and while a lot of the games on offer aren't all that great there are some gems in there too.
