iOS, Android Versions of Grand Theft Auto III Support PC Mods

An interesting report on ShackNews reveals that some PC modifications created for Grand Theft Auto III will actually work with the recently released Android and iOS versions of the game. While the process of getting them to work is a bit cumbersome and might be complicated for some users, the results can lead to importing new cars, textures, songs, and more into the game.

The Tech Erra has a video tutorial on how to mod the iOS version, and a member of the xda-developers forum offers some secrets on how to make mods work on that platform. As we've already said getting mods to work on these platforms can be tricky, and some mods don't work completely or at all - some even cause graphical glitches.

Check out the video to your left to see the Android version of the game with a few extra cars and textures.
