Namco Bandai Takes Notice of Dark Souls PC Petition

January 13, 2012 -

A petition urging Namco Bandai Games to bring the popular action-RPG Dark Souls to the PC has apparently caught the attention of someone at the company. Responding to it in the game's official forums, Namco Bandai Games' community manager Tony Shoupinou expressed his amazement at the accomplishment.

His astonishment was related to a petition that went from 7,000 signatures to 65,000 in seven days. The petition implored publisher Namco Bandai Games to bring the game to the PC. Here's what Shoupinou had to say:

"Damn you are amazing!" wrote community manager Tony Shoupinou on the Namco Bandai forum. "I honestly wasn't expecting such massive support. My boss(es) even came to talk to me about this after it exploded all around the world. If you wanted to have the attention of Namco Bandai Games, now you have it."

Shoupinou urged the community to continue their campaign for Dark Souls on PC.

"The future is in your hands," he wrote, "and I hope you will keep supporting this. I will make a personal objective to make sure every relevant person at Namco Bandai Games is in touch with this formidable effort."

If you want to make that number grow, you can visit the petition page here.

Re: Namco Bandai Takes Notice of Dark Souls PC Petition

Alright! Signed. I do hope this becomes a reality. A friend of mind keeps telling me about how awesome and fun this game is as well as numerous details about his accomplishments but I can never relate to what he is saying or experience it for myself (being exclusively a PC gamer). If this petition succeeds, I will be able to join in the fun. I'm glad to see it actually working favourably whereas most petitions are just brushed off.
