HBO Go Finally Coming to Xbox Live

February 28, 2012 -

One of the reasons I dumped HBO was because my cable provider (who ironically, owns HBO) refused to offer HBO Go in my area. Now HBO is apparently in style locally and can be enjoyed on various platforms including iOS and Android devices. Today we learn that the on-demand HBO service will finally make its way to Xbox Live, according to this VOX Games report.

The HBO Go service will be available on April 1. Naturally you'll need to have a valid subscription to HBO from your local cable provider, an Xbox Live Gold membership and a decent broadband connection. You'll also need to download all the latest updates to the Xbox Live dashboard, but chances are you've already done that.

HBO Go joins Hulu Plus, Netflix, Comcast, and Verizon's FiOS entertainment channels.
