April 23, 2012 -

This weekend at the After Hours Gaming League Grand Finals held at Red Bull’s North American headquarters in Santa Monica, healthcare software company Epic Systems was triumphant over IBM StarCraft II Championship. The charity they were playing for, Doctors Without Borders, will be given a $5,000 check.

The other monumental fight during this weekend's event was between Electronic Arts, with Amazon.com in the League of Legends Championship. Amazon.com soundly beat EA's corporate team to win $5,000 for its favorite charity, Child’s Play. The money was donated by StarCraft II makers Blizzard Entertainment and League of Legend developers Riot Games.

The After Hours Gaming League is a computer gaming league for major corporations, who duke it out in tournaments for glory and a big donation to their favorite charities. The AHGL was created by celebrity gamer Sean “Day[9]” Plott, who was recently named to Forbes “30 under 30” list for his work as a gaming sportscaster.
