Report: Dtp Entertainment Filing for Bankruptcy

April 30, 2012 -

Hamburg, Germany-based publisher Dtp Entertainment AG has filed for bankruptcy according to GamesIndustry International. The news comes from GamesIndustry International's German sister site and its editor, Christoph Holowaty.

Dtp has around 180 employees, 110 of which are employed at the company's Hamburg office. The rest are located at the company's Hanover and Singapore studios, and at Dtp Young, a division that publishes children's games. That division is apparently not affected by this filing.

The company is best known for publishing niche adventure game titles in Europe and North America, as well as German role-playing games like the Drakensang game series. Its most recent high profile publishing deal was with Cyanide Studios for the Game of Thrones RPG being developed for PC, 360 and PS3 in select European territories.
