IGN Entertainment and Middle Eastern media company T-Break Media have launched IGN Middle East, a website dedicated to gaming that will serve up game and entertainment content to an estimated audience of 340 million people in 15 countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Egypt, and Morocco.
"The Middle East is a truly exciting world market and one of the fastest-growing in media and entertainment, and we’re thrilled to be working with T-Break to introduce IGN Middle East to a vast audience of gamers," said Adam Doree, International Business Development Director for IGN Entertainment. "Teaming up with the experts in their territory allows IGN to build the brand globally and develop all-new local content alongside the biggest stories from around the world, connecting with new users in their own language for the first time."
The new site is being spearheaded Abbas Jaffar Ali – former editor of the Middle Eastern gaming site Megamers.com, which has been rolled into IGN's new site. The site will be available in two languages – Arabic & English and promises to mix "locally created editorial content with that from IGN’s teams in the US, UK and Australia."
