THQ’s vice president Teri Manby has resigned from the company, according to a report from Develop. Manby also served as THQ's corporate controller and chief accounting officer. She will exit the company officially on July 6, with senior director of financial reporting Rose Cunningham taking on the role of VP and corporate controller. THQ chief financial officer Paul Pucino will assume the role of chief accounting officer.
Manby resigned quietly on June 14. We assume the exit is an amicable one.
THQ has been trying to turn things around after it suffered a massive loss at the hands of its THQ Play division and the failure of the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of its tablet drawing peripheral UDraw. Last month it appointed Naughty Dog co-founder Jason Rubin as its new president in hopes of steering the company away from financial turmoil and back into the realm of profitability.
