Dig Dug: The Fake Movie Trailer

Steven Davis dropped us a note informing us of a trailer that, he claims, he made for "some Hollywood producers" who asked him to make a movie trailer mock-up of Namco Bandai's classic arcade game Dig Dug. He calls the film "a fan made trailer" and lists all the materials he used to piece it together. The movie borrows scenes from such films as The Core, Tekken, Reign of Fire, 9, Monsters Vs. Aliens, Voltron Force, Armageddon, My Bloody Valentine 3D, There Will Be Blood, The Mummy, The Descent, The Rock, 127 Hours, Tremors, Mystery Men, Stargate SG-1, No Country For Old Men, and Kill Bill Volume II.

It also features music such as "Lighthouse" – Amon Tobin , Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory Soundtrack [MIX]; "Rapture" – Hurt , Vol. 1; "Underground" – Tom Waits, Swordfishtrombones; and the "Dig Dug Theme" from Dig Dug. Watch it to your left. The creator states emphatically that this work is an "independent, non-profit, artistic expression created purely for fun and is in no way connected to, or endorsed by Namco, Namco Galaga, Atari Inc., Yuriko Keino or Paramount Pictures."
