Even as Blizzard promises that a hotfix is on the way to deal with the Wizard invincibility exploit in Diablo III that was uncovered yesterday, players have found another one related to the Barbarian class. Blizzard finally responded to news that an exploit with the Wizard class gave players savvy enough to make it work temporary invulnerability – even in multiplayer games.
"We are currently rolling out a hotfix for a recent bug regarding invulnerable Wizards," reads a post on Battle.net. "We will continue to carefully monitor this issue and welcome anyone with information about bugs or hacks to submit a detailed report to our Hacks Team by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, or by completing the Hacks Report web form. In your correspondence, please include any steps necessary to replicate the issue as well as any additional details you are able to provide."
Meanwhile players in this Battle.net forum thread supposedly uncovered another exploit involving the Barbarian class. Users can trigger the exploit by performing a Furious Charge with a Dreadnought rune at Cydaea, a minor boss in the Arreat Crater of Act III, right before her cut scene rolls out. After this, the game is tricked into thinking that all movement into enemies is a Furious Charge. This coupled with the rune, which provides a leeching affect, gives players an endless supply of health regeneration. Apparently this exploit works on all game modes.
Minor update: the hotfix to fix the Wizard exploit mentioned earlier in the story has since been deployed.
