For the last four years, Westwood College's Anaheim Campus has put on the Gathering of Video Game Legends & Student Game-Concept Pitch Competition. This year's event will be held on August 18 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Westwood College Anaheim Campus (next to the Honda Center) in sunny Anaheim, California.
The fifth annual event will let attendees interact with video game industry professionals, discuss (and play!) video games, learn about a career in the games industry, attend workshops and demonstrations about making video games, and get an opportunity for students to pitch their game ideas to Westwood Alumni in the gaming industry, and then to the Legends in attendance.
So who are these "legends" that will be attending the event? Some of the industry pros attending the event include Voldi Way of WayForward Technologies, Dave Kosak of Blizzard Entertainment, former Blizzard and Crytpic Studios developer Bill Roper, Harvard Bonin – Senior Producer at Sony Computer Entertainment, John Cooney – Head of Game Development at Armor Games, Bill Fisher, Justin Lloyd, Voldi Way, Tyrannical Overlord and founder of Way Forward, Tina Kowalewski – Director, External Development at Sony Computer Entertainment America, Noah Dudley – CCO of Realities Unlimited, Todd Northcutt, Rusty Buchert – Executive Producer of WhiteMoon Dreams, Kevin Brown – Art Development Manager at Sony Computer Entertainment America, John Say – founder of Say Design, Phil Adam, Daniel McNeely – Team Member at Armor Games, Cecil Kim – Lead Concept Artist at Sony Computer Entertainment, RJ Mical, and more.
