Capcom: DLC Found on Retail Resident Evil 6 Disc is Free

October 11, 2012 -

Looking to clarify some stories that have been written by the media about on-disc DLC found within Resident Evil 6's retail disc, Capcom has taken to the Capcom Unity blog to clear the air.

While Capcom acknowledged that the disc does indeed include "incomplete" DLC that requires a download to access, the DLC in question is also a free download. As for other upcoming paid DLC Capcom claims that none of it - in part or whole - can be found on retails discs.

Capcom explained that this free content (No Hope difficulty mode and a new co-op partner) is "incomplete" because it will not work without a download. The two free DLC items unearthed earlier in the week will arrive through a title update "soon."

But you'll have to buy a brand new copy to access it.
