Aksys Games Raises over $12K for American Red Cross Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts

Aksys Games passed along word that it has managed to raise $12,920 in donations for the American Red Cross after its successful "Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts Sale" on Nov. 14.

Aksys Games staff got together and came up with the sale as a way to quickly generate some funds for victims of Hurricane Sandy on the eastern coast of America. All of the sale's proceeds are going to the American Red Cross. Fans of Aksys Games and Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward responded by quickly purchasing the special watches – they were all sold out within 24 hours.

"Aksys Games would like to thank, from the bottom of our hearts, those who reached in their pockets and purchased a Virtue’s Last Reward watch to help our friends on the East Coast," said Aksys Games in a statement released yesterday announcing the final donation number. "We sincerely hope that this donation will aid in the ongoing relief efforts."

Aksys Games publishes a variety of games in North America including the Record of Agarest War series; Zero Escape: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors; Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward;, and the popular BlazBlue fighting game series.
