Reuters is reporting that the National Rifle Association, victims of gun violence, gun safety groups, gun owners, and unnamed representatives from the film and video game industries will meet with Vice-President Joe Biden's task force set up to come up with solutions and answers in the wake of the Sandy Hook elementary school shootings in Newtown, Connecticut that resulted in the death of 20 children and six adults.
The task force was set up by Joe Biden after President Barack Obama asked him to come up with a broad range of ideas to address the issue of gun violence in America. White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters said that the task force "will also meet with representatives of the entertainment and video-game industries," but did not provide specifics. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius will also meet with mental health and disability advocates, while Education Secretary Arne Duncan is set to meet with parents, teachers and education groups.

I hope that those in the games industry that agreed to meet will follow Gamasutra's advice and cancel.
