Ümloud! Event Raises $42K for Child’s Play Charity

January 15, 2013 -

Perfect World Entertainment announced today that 2012 Rock Band charity event Ümloud! managed to raise over $42,000 dollars for the Child’s Play. Perfect World Entertainment was a key sponsor of the annual event that was held on December 6th, 2012.

Other important players in making this event a success were Cryptic Studios, Natural Selection 2 developer Unknown Worlds Entertainment, game designer and Double Fine Productions founder Tim Schafer, games journalists that took part, and "hundreds of generous gamers" who showed up at San Francisco’s DNA Lounge for a night of gaming, rock ‘n’ roll and fundraising.

All proceeds from Ümloud! will be given to Child's Play to support children’s hospitals around the world. The next Ümloud! event will take place at the end of this year.
