Blizzard Entertainment today announced plans for its seventh BlizzCon gaming convention, to take place Friday, November 8 and Saturday, November 9 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. You may recall that Blizzard canceled last year's event, much to the chagrin of fans.
This year's event will feature all the camaraderie of getting together with similar minded StarCraft, Warcraft, and Diablo fans, as well as a variety of activities including "hands-on" play time with the latest versions of Blizzard Entertainment's games, global finals for Blizzard eSports, discussion panels with Blizzard game developers and artists, competitive and casual tournaments, community contests with unique prizes, commemorative merchandise based on Blizzard Entertainment’s game universes, and a variety of other interesting activities and attractions to be announced at a later date.
"BlizzCon gives us a chance to connect with our players and share our latest projects in a very personal way," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "Members from all of our gaming communities have helped make this event bigger and better every time, and we look forward to meeting up and celebrating with them in November."
Blizzard will likely showcase some of the games in development that we already know about as well as some new products that have yet to be revealed…
Further details about BlizzCon 2013, including ticket availability and pricing, will be announced on the official BlizzCon website as the event draws closer.
