The Entertainment Merchants Association has added three new members into the association this week. The three businesses joining the association are DHX, OVGuide, and Redbox Instant.
DHX Media creates, produces, and licenses family entertainment rights. The company markets and distributes over 8,500 half hours of children's entertainment content, and leverages its owned properties through its consumer products licensing business. DHX Media is known for such kids brands such as Caillou, Busytown Mysteries, Inspector Gadget, Johnny Test, Animal Mechanicals, Kid vs. Kat, Super WHY!, Rastamouse, and Yo Gabba Gabba!. The company also provides programming for Cookie Jar TV, the weekend morning block on CBS.
OVGuide is a video destination site offering visitors free high-quality videos. It offers free full length movies, TV shows, trending viral videos, and clips from 6,000 sources. It is the largest independent guidance site for online video and receives more than 13 million unique visitors every month.
Finally, Redbox Instant is the streaming counterpart to the video game and entertainment rental kiosk company. It is a joint venture of Verizon and Redbox Digital Entertainment Services and was formed in February 2012.
