Todd Akin's 'Legitimate Rape' Comments Inspire Pinball Game

May 28, 2013 -

During the last election cycle Senatorial candidate Todd Akin said something so ridiculous that it caught the attention of people around the world. He used the term "legitimate rape" and that the "female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down." Obviously these amazing comments related to abortion cost him the Senate race in Missouri and made him the laughing stock of the entire political class. Well his "legitimate rape" comments have inspired a bizarre pinball game (pictured to your left) that show how a woman's body might "shut the whole thing down."

The pinball game is creation of French artist Marie Busson, who has named the simple game "La Femme Flipper...En réponse à Tod Akin."

We assume the ball represents the rapist and the flippers represent the mechanism by which a female body "shuts the whole thing down."

You can learn more about the game here.

How timely.  Just in time for no elections at all.

That machine is an uncanny representation of how the female body works. It's science.
