Announced last year, the erotic Oculus Rift game Sinful Robot has been renamed Wicked Paradise. The game lost some of the funding it was relying on, but that has not deterred developer Jeroen Van den Bosch from continuing development. Bosch hopes to create an erotic title that is well designed and offers a narrative influenced by character-driven interaction similar to the Mass Effect series.
"The non-explicit sex scenes in Mass Effect are much more erotic than current available explicit adult video games," he explained to Road to VR. "This is because you care about the characters in Mass Effect. A player will never feel very attracted to a virtual character if he or she doesn't care."
Wicked Paradise will be episodic, and the first few episodes will focus on a male character's perspective. Later releases offer a female protagonist as well as LGBT themes.
Bosch hopes to release Wicked Paradise alongside the consumer release of Oculus Rift in 2014.
