VentureBeat revealed the line-up of speakers that are set to participate in GamesBeat 2013, taking place October 29-30 at the Sofitel Hotel in Redwood City, California. This year, GamesBeat will be a standalone event covering a variety of topics related to the game industry – as indicated by the diversity of its speakers.
This year's speakers (so far) are Bing Gordon, partner at venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers; Clive Downie, CEO of DeNA West; Tony Bartel, president of GameStop; Tim Merel, managing director at Digi-Capital; Kevin Chou, cofounder and CEO at Kabam; Rick Thompson, founding partner at Signia Venture Partners; and Brock Pierce, managing director of Clearstone Global Fund. GamesBeat's Dean Takahashi will serve as the master of ceremonies and moderator during the event. More speakers are to be announced.
