There's a petition for everything it seems. For example, there's currently a petition on Change.org to make playable Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. game for Wii U and 3DS. The petition directed at game producer Sora Sakurai and Nintendo has already garnered 7,752 supporters as of this writing. Here's a bit from the petition appeal:
"Reggie Fils-Aime, president and COO of Nintendo of America, is very popular in the gaming world, and he shot to fame in E3 2004 with his opening line: 'My name is Reggie. I'm about kickin' ass, I'm about takin' names, and we're about makin' games.' His humorous quotes and theatrical antics have made him into a gaming celebrity.
Many Nintendo fans have pleaded for Reggie to be in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. games and he would be a unique character. He could use Nintendo controllers and characters to his advantage as attacks."
In a video that recently ran on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Fils-Aime was asked whether he would be available as a playable character in the game.
"Great question," said Fils-Aime. "You have to ask that to Mr. Sakurai. He's the producer of the game, it's his game. But if he wants, my body is ready."
