Poll Results: How Long Will Video Games Be Blamed for Causing Real-World Violence?

In last week's poll we asked our readers, "How much longer will video games be blamed for violent behavior?" Around 809 votes were cast, with the majority of voters believing that video games and the video games industry can look forward to being blamed for real-world violent crime for the foreseeable future – or at least until some other technology comes along that is scarier than video games.

Around 72 percent (581 votes) went with "Until some new and scary form of entertainment comes along to replace it." Another 15 percent (118 votes) went with "forever," six percent (48 votes) believe the blame game will continue for five years, five percent (40 votes) believe video games will be blamed for another ten years, and three percent (22 votes) believe the blame game will be over in a "couple of years."

Thanks to everyone who voted in last week's poll. Look for a new one later this week. Be sure to check out the latest episode of Super Podcast Action Committee for an expanded discussion of the poll.

That article was the biggest bunch of BS I've ever read, and considering all the BS Jacky Boy has posted over the years, that's saying something.
