Operation Supply Drop Raises $300K for the Troops in November

December 2, 2013 - GamePolitics Staff

Military gaming charity Operation Supply Drop passed along word today that during the month of November it managed to raise what it called a record-shattering $302,187 worth of games and swag for soldiers and sailors deployed overseas as well as recovering in military hospitals. Much of that tally for the month of November came from game developers and corporations.

PopCap Games donated $104,000 in game codes and t-shirts; GameStop donated an undisclosed amount of hardware and games; Zombie Studios donated $25,000 of in-game currency for Blacklight Retribution; Intel donated $21,000 in pre-built Intel NUC form factor computers; and Hidden Path Entertainment donated $20,000 in game codes for Defense Grid.

Operation Supply Drop will continue distributing these donations throughout the rest of the new year in their third annual "12 Days of Non-Denominational Holiday Gaming Goodness" supply drop initiative, which will be announced shortly.
