Microsoft: Three Million Xbox One Systems Sold To-Date

January 6, 2014 - GamePolitics Staff

In a self-congratulatory post on Xbox Wire, Yusuf Mehdi, Corporate Vice President of Marketing, Strategy and Business, Xbox announced that the next-generation console system has sold three million units to-date since its launch on November 22.

"Together, we ushered in a new era of games and entertainment with Xbox One. Over 3 million Xbox One consoles were sold to consumers in 13 countries before the end of 2013," wrote Mehdi in a rather lengthy post. "It’s been incredible to see Xbox One selling at a record-setting pace for Xbox, and we were honored to see Xbox One become the fastest-selling console in the U.S. during our launch month in November. Since our launch, demand for Xbox One has been strong, selling out throughout the holidays at most retailers worldwide. We are continuing to work hard to deliver additional consoles to retailers as fast as possible."

Looking ahead, Mehdi said that he was very excited to be bringing even bigger experiences to Xbox One owners in 2014 with such games as Titanfall, Watch Dogs, Project Spark, Sunset Overdrive, Tom Clancy’s The Division, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Destiny, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, and The Elder Scrolls Online, and many more.

No BWC no buy.

Copyright infringement is nothing more than civil disobedience to a bad set of laws. Let's renegotiate them.
