Trion Worlds' End of Nations has not been in development in quite some time, but today the company finally confirmed that the free-to-play sci-fi themed MOBA has been put on an indefinite hold. People started to get the idea that something was going on with the game when Trion Worlds took its official website offline in early March and all references to the game were scrubbed from Trion's main company site.
When asked for a status update, a Trion Worlds rep. told Videogamer.com that it was common knowledge within the community that the game's development had halted.
"As we informed End of Nation's community last fall, internal development on End of Nations was put on hold in late 2013 while we evaluated potential paths forward for the title."
"We're currently focusing the company's energy and creativity on Rift, Defiance, Trove, ArcheAge, and some new projects that we will be revealing soon."
While Trion has not said that the project has been canceled, being shelved is just as bad. We'll have more on this story as it develops.
