As expected, Titanfall is boosting Xbox One sales in regions around the world. The first evidence of this is the latest retail sales numbers in the UK from Chart-Track. According to the firm, Titanfall drove Xbox One sales up 96 percent. The £399 Xbox One Titanfall bundle, which includes a download token for the game in the box, accounted for over 70 percent of all Xbox One hardware sold last week in the UK.
Titanfall also had double the sales of the former 2014 leader, FIFA 2014. Missing from the numbers are digital sales of the game, so it probably is doing even better than what has been reported by Chart-Track.
Respawn's and EA'sPC and Xbox One shooter is the UK's best-selling game and is the biggest release of 2014 so far.
Here are the rest of last week's top ten best-selling games in the UK:
1 – Titanfall
2 – Dark Souls II
3 – South Park: Stick of Truth
4 – The LEGO Movie – Video Game
5 – Thief
6 – FIFA 2014
7 – Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare
