‘Papers, Please’ Wins Top Honors at IGF Awards

Lucas Pope's popular game Papers, Please took home the top prize at last night's Independent Games Festival Awards. In addition to winning the Seumas McNally Grand Prize, Pope's game was honored with awards for Excellence in Narrative, and Excellence in Design.

The award for Excellence in Visuals Art went to Gorogoa, a puzzle game from Jason Roberts; while the award for Best Audio award was bestowed upon Simogo's DEVICE 6. The award for Best Student Game went to Risk of Rain, an action platformer with rogue-like elements from University of Washington development team Hopoo Games; and the community-driven Audience Award was given to The Stanley Parable.

Finally, the Nuovo Award went to Luxuria Superbia from Tale of Tales.
