Amazon Game Studios Hires Kim Swift and Clint Hocking

First, Amazon bought Killer Instinct maker Double Helix, and now it is proving that gaming is more than just a passing hobby for the company by hiring two high profile seasoned veterans. Amazon Game Studios has hired Kim Swift and Clint Hocking.

Amazon is bolstering up talent in their video game development studio, and they've got two new high-profile snags: Portal designer Kim Swift and Far Cry 2 designer Clint Hocking have both joined Amazon Game Studios, Kotaku has learned.

Kim Swift is best known for work in helping to create Portal while at Valve and Ouya-exclusive Soul Fjord while at Airtight Games. Hocking has worked for Valve, LucasArts, and Ubisoft. He is best known for his work on Splinter Cell and Far Cry 2.

What these two seasoned veterans will be working on and what their official job titles are at Amazon Game Studios remains a secret.

We will have more on this story as it develops, but it's hard to say that Amazon isn't serious about gaming with such talented individuals being hired by the company…
