Microsoft Reveals Original Television Programming for Xbox Live

April 7, 2014 - GamePolitics Staff

Microsoft has revealed a line-up of new and original shows that will debut on Xbox Live for Xbox 360 and Xbox One. According to this Bloomberg report, the original programming includes a comedy sketch show with comedian Sarah Silverman, another with actor Michael Cera's JASH comedy group, and a stop-motion show with comedian and actor Seth Green's Stoopid Buddy Stoodios. Microsoft also plans a live broadcast of the Bonnaroo music festival in July.

According to the report, the original programming is targeted at the 18 to 34 male demographic.

There are also plans to incorporate "mini-games" that consumers can play to unlock additional content related to some shows...

It is likely that Microsoft will offer some shows in specific regions and not in others; for example, it is working on football reality show called "Every Street United," which will air in the UK.

Re: Microsoft Reveals Original Television Programming for ...

Am I the only one that remembers Sarah Silverman insulting the entire video game industry and community several years ago at the VGAs? Putting her on a show exclusive to a video game console...

Re: Microsoft Reveals Original Television Programming for ...

Microsoft, nobody is going to use the Xbox One as a TV device. I guess you could say...deal with it.
