Military-focused video game charity Operation Supply Drop today announced the creation of a board of advisors made up of video games industry veterans and former military personnel to support its "rapid expansion and increase the total number of charitable activities it pursues."
The group has also named Glenn “Commander” Banton, Sr. as the Chairman of the Board. He will continue to serve as the group's Chief Marketing Officer.
The Operation Supply Drop board members and advisors include the following:
– Mark Christianson, Executive Editor of Off Duty Gamers and former U.S. Army Paratrooper (82nd Airborne Division), he also served as Secretary and Chairman of the 82nd Airborne Association's Chicago chapter.
– Mario Kroll, long-time video game marketing and PR executive, owner of video game industry consultancy UberStrategist, founder of Wargamer.com and former NCO in the U.S. Army JAG Corps.
– Jason Schauble, currently Chief Revenue Officer at Silencerco and former executive at TrackingPoint and Remington, he was a founding member of United States Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC), charged with building their special operations capabilities from scratch in 2006. Jason served as a U.S. Marine infantry NCO, officer and Force Recon taskforce commander in Iraq, receiving the Silver Star, a Bronze Star with combat distinguishing device and a Purple Heart.
– Yvonna Lynn, accomplished actress, model, and founder of the Charisma+2 agency, she is also a long-standing board member of the IGDA Dallas chapter.
