Blizzard Entertainment announced that its two-day fan event, BlizzCon, will take place Nov 7 – 8 in Anaheim, Calif. Tickets for the two-day event dedicated to fans of World of Warcraft, Diablo, StarCraft, and Warcraft will will go on sale May 7 for $199 at 7 p.m. PT and again on Saturday, May 10 at 10 a.m. PT.
Tickets for the pre-BlizzCon charity dinner benefiting Children's Hospital of Orange County, Calif. will go on sale May 14 at 7 p.m. PDT. Those tickets are substantially more pricey at $750 each and include BlizzCon admission. Blizzard is also offering a virtual ticket that provides purchasers live coverage of the event via a multi-channel Internet stream. More details on that will be announced at a later date.
BlizzCon will also be the place where the StarCraft 2 World Championship Series resumes, brining the top 16 players in the world together to compete in a single elimination, best-of-five bracket fight. The winner of a best-of-seven championship match takes home $100,000.
