Pro League of Legends Player Suffers Collapsed Lung, Continues to Play Anyways

April 30, 2014 - GamePolitics Staff

Eurogamer has an interesting story on a pro League of Legends player who is so committed to the MOBA hit that he played it in the hospital while recovering from a collapsed lung - and then streamed his session for four hours on Twitch.

Two days ago 21-year-old Hai "Hai" Du Lam, "mid-laner" for professional League of Legends team Cloud 9, suffered a collapsed lung and was rushed to hospital. Unfortunately, because he can't travel in his current condition, he had to opt out of the upcoming All-Star 2014 event in Paris.

Hai wrote on Facebook: "Currently in the hospital, I'm not allowed to go to Paris anymore. I'm sorry to everyone who was excited to see us play. I'm not in critical condition and will be fine, just need some rest. Thanks for all the support."

But that didn't stop Hai from playing Riot's MOBA while recovering; using the hospital's wi-fi and a laptop, last night he played the game and streamed it on Twitch for four hours straight. Why? Because he was bored.

You can check out the video of his play session to your left.

We wish Hai a fast and speedy recovery, though it would probably go quicker if he stopped playing LOL for awhile and focused on his health. Take a break dude.
