A new game from Moneyhorse Games lets players jump into the boots of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. The game is called "Glorious Leader" and is a side-scrolling action game that lets you jump into the shoes of the dictator as he guns down his enemies with reckless abandon. The game will also feature Kim Jong Un pal Dennis Rodman.
Creator Moneyhorse Games insists that the game, which depicts a U.S. invasion of the country, is completely satirical and non-political in nature, despite its touchy subject matter.
An anonymous spokesperson for the company tells the Daily Dot that they were entrusted "with the great honor of creating such an important game" and that they "did not choose to make a project about North Korea, we were chosen," adding that it was the "chance of a lifetime to bring light to the West from his Holiness' eternal flame." Obviously there's comedy going on here. On a more serious note Moneyhorse Games CEO Jeff Miller told the Guardian that the company hopes to "carefully walk the line of satire without being an apologist for the regime."
A company spokesperson also hinted that "Vladimir Putin has already expressed interest in having Moneyhorse tell his remarkable tale."
