Poll Results: Will the Removal of the Kinect Help Xbox One Sales?

May 20, 2014 - GamePolitics Staff

Last week we asked our readers, "Will the Removal of the Kinect Help Xbox One Sales?" Half of voters said that the new Kinect-free version of Xbox One will in fact help the company close the sales gap between the Xbox One and the PS4, but that Microsoft will not be able to surpass Sony by the year's end.

Around 25 percent said that the new bundle's sales trajectory will remain the same despite the new SKU option. Around 9 percent think that the Xbox One will catch up with the PS4 by year's end, 6 percent believe that the new SKU will hurt Xbox One sales, and only four percent believe the Xbox One will sell more units than the PS4 by year's end and surpass it.

Thanks to everyone who voted in last week's poll. For a more in-depth discussion, be sure to check out the latest episode of Super Podcast Action Committee.
