If you loathe credit cards and think PayPal is the best digital payment solution since the penny was minted then you'll be happy to hear that you can now use it to buy things on Sony's newest PlayStation console. Sony announced today that PayPal is available on PS4 for people who live in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Chile and Argentina. Console owners still have the option to add funds using a credit card or PSN card as well.
Support for PayPal was added to PlayStation 3 last year, allowing users to fund their Sony Entertainment Network wallet by adding an amount between $5 and $150.
PayPal can be used in the PlayStation Store by visiting the Sony Entertainment Network website and logging into your PSN account. PS4 users can also use PayPal as a direct payment method for PlayStation Store purchases.
