'Love Child' Debuts on HBO July 28

June 25, 2014 - GamePolitics Staff

HBO will premiere the documentary "Love Child" on Monday, July 28 at 9:00 PM. The film tells the story of two South Korean parents who were so addicted to the Korean MMO Prius that they neglected their three month old child to the point that he died. They were later charged by police.

The film explores the case in great detail, and consults with experts about Internet and video game addiction (it should be noted that both "addictions" are not recognized by mental health professionals in the U.S., Europe and elsewhere as "real addictions" like gambling or sex).

Love Child will have its national television debut on HBO on Monday, July 28 at 9:00 PM. The premiered at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival (in the world cinema documentary competition).

The film is directed by Valerie Veatch and executive produced by T-Mobile CEO John Legere.
