Mojang has announced that its flagship title Minecraft on consoles has surpassed sales on PC and Mac. According to a tweet from Mojang Data Analyst Patrick Geuder, the console versions of the game (PS3 and Xbox 360) have finally passed Windows and Mac versions.
Mojang did not offer specific breakdowns on sales for the myriad of platforms the game is available on. Geuder also noted that Minecraft across all platforms has surpassed the 54 million units sold mark.
Minecraft is currently available on Windows, Mac, Xbox 360, PS3, Android, and iOS.

As of April, Minecraft was approaching the 50 million mark for total sales, with the PC version at 15 million, mobile editions at somewhere around 21 million, the Xbox 360 version selling 12 million, and the PlayStation 3 version at 1.5 million.
The game is set for release on PS Vita, PS4, and Xbox One later this year.
