Cliff Bleszinski Teases Return to Game Development

June 30, 2014 - GamePolitics Staff

Former Gears of War and Unreal Tournament designer Cliff Bleszinski is done with his hiatus from developing games. The former Epic Games designer announced via Twitter that he will soon be back doing what he loves the most: making games!

"I'm officially coming out of retirement to make video games again," Bleszinski tweeted. "Stay tuned here for details in the next 7 days!"

"It's going to be a blast to finally tell the story of what brought me back. :)," he added in another tweet.

Bleszinski left Epic Games in 2012 shortly after China-based game company Tencent bought a 40 percent stake in Epic Games. Tencent also owns League of Legends maker Riot Games.

Beyond tweeting and blogging about game industry and game community-related issues, Bleszinski has remained relatively quiet about developing games.

We will have more on this story as details become available.
